3 Fantastic Hair Products You've Got To Try!

3 Fantastic Hair Products You've Got To Try!

For years now I have been growing my hair out. Seems I am the only one of all my friends and family who has never had her hair to her hips!

What can I say... long hair is a big deal in Hispanic families! ;)

When you have fine hair (like I do) and it hits mid back, it starts to look lifeless and very very thin. Volume? Well its basically non-existent. Add hair color, highlights, and heat styling and things can start to get ugly... and frizzy.

Bath and Body Works Haul!

Bath and Body Works is one of my favorite stores! I'm there at least once a month!

While Hubby loves the Eucalyptus Stress Relief body products (he even has the pillow mist haha), I love love love love love (ok I really love) the candles, hand soaps, and wallflowers. :)

If you know me, you know that baked goods are my favorite scents. So in the autumn and winter I stock up on scents like Marshmallow Fireside, Pumpkin Cupcake, and Salty Caramel. I usually have a hard time choosing which scents I like for the spring and summer though. Clean scents are not entirely usually my thing, and while I could have Japanese Cherry Blossom in every room (I love it that much), I like to change it up.

Bath and Body Works launches different collections throughout the year. For example, this year they had many Hawaiian themed scents (such as Aloha Waikiki... OMG Aloha Waikiki is the best! I love the smell of Hibiscus, who knew,... and for some reason I love saying "waikiki", it just makes me smile). They also have difference scents inspired by countries all over the world - there's London Calling, Paris Daydream, and Tokyo Petals among others. I'm not usually drawn to spring and summer collections but this year there was a little of everything and I was VERY pleased.

Review: Revlon Photoready Skinlights Face Illuminator in Pink Light

Review: Revlon Photoready Skinlights Face Illuminator in Pink Light

I love highlighting! And if its a pink highlight even better!! There is something so special and attractive about glowing skin. It just makes you look healthy, fresh and awake. With my dry skin, highlighting is a must... I'm almost forced to use illuminating face products. While I like a good matte foundation, I need to take extra steps to make sure I don't look cakey and flaky. Illuminating products definitely make it easier for me to look like I'm not wearing any foundation... when I actually am.

I was excited to get my hands of this product. I love a good cream highlight! There is a nice selection of shades to choose from: Pink Light, Bare Light, Peach Light, and Bronze Light. I purchased Pink Light because it was the fairest shade of the bunch. These have some coverage to them so I was afraid that with the other shades I would have too dark of a highlight for my skin tone.

Onto the review...

Infertility Update: My First Appointment with a Fertility Specialist

Infertility Update: My First Appointment with a Fertility Specialist

Last week we saw our fertility Doctor for the first time. For all of you that are on the verge of seeing a specialist or waiting for your appointment, I thought I would share my experience with you so you would have a better idea as what to expect.

I know that all these appointments can be stressful. I was definitely nervous before our first appointment. I didn't know what to expect, and quite frankly I was concerned that our Doctor wasn't going to do what I wanted him too. I was looking for an "aggressive approach". I wanted someone who was going to understand how much this was consuming my life, I wanted someone who was going to be willing to move quickly and not waste our time. Honestly, I want us to be "hand held". That may sound childish, but its true. This whole process has been so stressful, so life consuming, so emotionally damaging that I was looking for someone to guide us and show compassion.

Maid/Matron of Honor Duties | My Best Friends Wedding

Maid/Matron of Honor Duties | My Best Friends Wedding

As promised, I wanted to post a few details about the awesome wedding we attended on February 23rd of this year. It was the most beautiful, most fun, wedding we have ever been to! I was honored to be the Maid (actually Matron, since I'm married) of Honor! My best friend, Marisol, did a fantastic job of putting everything together. She did everything herself and boy did she make some great choices! From entertainment to photography to food, everything was perfect... we had a blast!
